NUS

National Union of Students

The University of Manchester Students' Union is a proud member of NUS and all the traditions of activism, campaigning and value for money that come with it.

NUS is a voluntary membership organisation with 600 constituent members- virtually every college and university in the country- and as such NUS represents over 7 million students.

Run by student officers elected by our members, NUS is the largest student organisation in the world.

NUS fights barriers to education, empowers students to shape both a quality learning experience and the world around them, and supports influential, democratic and well-resourced students' unions.

NUS has forged extremely close links with the two other major national organisations in the student movement; AMSU (Association of Managers in Students' Unions) and NUS Services, which ensures that all Students' Unions in the country have access to products and services.

Every time you vote in the union, read a copy of Student Direct, or buy a pint in the SU Bar, you've benefitting from NUS!
